The smoothie for reduced risk and treatment of Pharynx (Throat) Cancer
Yield: 2 servings (about 8 ounces each)
1 gram of formula RRF(you cam buy them in any Chinese herbal store)
1 1/4 cup cranberry
1/4 cup of carrot
1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams of green tea, a slice of ginger and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes, and let cool to room temperature)

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed. Add more green tea drink if needed
3. Serve immediately

The finding the natural ingredients for reduced symptoms and treatment of Perimenopause is considered as a dream of many scientist to replace the long usage adverse effect of conventional medicine.
Unfortunately, many compounds found effective in initial studying failed to confirm the potentials in large sample size and multi center.

Recent studies suggested that scientist in some research centers have found the naturally potential ingredients of green tea(1), Cranberry(5 )and Carrot(8)  for reduced risk and treatment of Pharynx (Throat) Cancer.

Pharynx cvancer is the irregual cell growth in the curve area of the back of the mouth, located between esophagus and trachea connecting the nasal and oral cavities to the larynx. In the United States in 2010 alone, according to National cancer Institute, there were 12,660 new cases of pharyngeal cancer, resulting in deaths of 2,410 patients.

Green tea has been a precious drink in traditional Chinese culture and used exceptional in socialization for more than 4000 thousand years. Because of their health benefits, they have been cultivated for commercial purposes all over the world. According to Dr, Tian M and colleagues, green tea polyphenol significantly inhibited cell proliferation, induced cell apoptosis and decreased the migration and invasion ability of NPC cells in vitro(1).
In the study of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) cells HONE1 and CNE2, green tea also expressed anti proliferation activity through suppression of the growth of xenografts(2).

In the review of literature from data bases before January 2014 in MEDLINE and EMBASE, tea intake is associated to decrease risk of Pharynx Cancer with no evidence of publication bias.according to the Begg's funnel plot and the Egger's test(3).The National Yang-Ming University study suggested, epigallocathechin gallate (EGCG), the major polyphenol in green tea inhibited sphere formation, eliminated the stem-like properties against nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) through attenuaAT3 activation of cellular processes such as cell growth and apoptosis(4).

Cranberry is a species of Vaccinium oxycoccos, belong to the family Ericaceae found in the cooler part of Northern America. According to the Medical College of Wisconsin, phytochemicals found in cranberry inhibited esophageal adenocarcinoma in vitro assay and in vivo models(5).
Resveratrol, another major constituent found in cransberry, also inhibited proliferation and induced apoptosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line C666-1 through AMPK activation of cellular energy homeostasis(6) and activate caspase-3 in cell death and alter the Bax/Bcl-2 apoptotic signaling(6).

In nude mice, resveratrol induced more sensitive of on human hypopharyngeal carcinoma to radiation therapy(7). Combination of radiotherapy plus resveratrol treatment resulted in a tumor inhibition rate of 76.64%, according to the joint study lead by the First Affiliated of Xi'an Jiao Tong University(7).

Retinoic acid, a metabolite of vitamin A (retinol) found in a measure amount in carrot may also be a potential ingredient in prevention and treatment of Pharynx Cancer. According to the Hunan Cancer Hospital and The Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine, all-trans-retinoic acid-induced growth inhibition and differentiation in nasopharyngeal cancercells through suppression nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) tumor formation by Human SPLUNC1 in expression in the upper airways and nasopharyngeal regions(8). In fact, plasma antioxidant vitamins like vitamin A were lower in oral cavity and oropharyngeal cancer patients than healthy controls, Dr. Marakala V and colleagues said(9).Use conjunction with cisplatin, all-trans retinoid acid (ATRA), the combination significantly inhibited the growth of both cell lines of (NPC-TW01 and NPC-TW04)(10).

The combination of Green Tea, Cranberry and Carrot smoothie may hold a key in further studies in production of an effective natural ingredients for prevention and treatment of Pharynx Cancer without inducing adverse effects.

People who are at higher risk of Pharynx Cancer due to family history,.......should take at least one serving daily. People with Pharynx Cancer should drink as much as they can depending to the digestive toleration.
